Ok, so last weekend I sat and was watching a few minutes of VH1's "Best of the 80's" countdown. Its amazing to think that when I was in elementary school *yes I'm showing my age* these were the biggest bands in the world. There were synthesizers, guitars and most of all, EVERYONE HAD HAIR, AND LOTS OF IT!!! These bands rocked, but they could also show their soft sides (as you have no doubt seen in those infomercials on late night television). But it got me to thinking, what are the best "hair band" songs of all time. No doubt everyone has their own opinion, and I'd like to voice mine. I've got my list below, so let me hear yours!!!!
If we're going ballads it goes like this:
5. Nobody's Fool- Cinderella
4. Sister Christian- Night Ranger
3. I Remember You- Skid Row
2. Love Bites- Def Leppard
1. Every Rose Has Its Thorn- Poison
Overall:
5. Talk Dirty to Me- Poison
4. We're Not Gonna Take It- Twisted Sister
3. 18 and Life- Skid Row (yes its probably considered a ballad too)
2. Kickstart My Heart- Motley Crue
1. Sweet Child O' Mine- Guns & Roses
Hard to keep off songs like: Round and Round, Pour Some Sugar on Me, Here I Go Again, Livin On A Prayer, Welcome to the Jungle etc...This could easily be a top 20 list for sure.
